Job DescriptionBlue Ridge Health is currently seeking a
Purchasing Assistant to be part of our Finance Team.The Purchasing
Assistant's primary purpose is to compile and maintain purchasing
functions following Blue Ridge Health's (BRH) requirements and
policies. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for
processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items through
the packing slips.About Blue Ridge HealthBlue Ridge Health (BRH) is

counties.Responsibilities:Provides administrative and clerical
support to the department.Maintain purchase orders, packing slips,
and other documents.Matching purchase orders with packing slips to
directors for approvalEstablishes and maintains recordkeeping
system for purchasing department.Maintain Debarment ListPerforms
other duties as assigned. Accounts Payable backupDevelop and
maintain a working relationship with vendorsWork with accounting
with asset tags and attaching to the assetWork with the accountant
on grantsHelp with the annual auditDescription of Primary
Attributes:Ability to follow verbal and written
instructions.Ability to learn purchasing and accounts payable
procedures and policies.Able to work independently to complete
assigned tasksAbility to work effectively in a repetitive
environment.Creates trust among peers, vendors and BRH
personnel.Highly organized and able to complete task in an
efficient and timely manner.High attention to detail and
accuracy.Ability to anticipate potential problems and identify
workable alternativesProfessional and Technical Knowledge:High
School Diploma required, Associates Degree in Office Management or
higher preferred.At least two years of clerical experience
preferred.Excellent organizational skillset including attention to
detail.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written,
which are required for interacting with staff and outside
personnel.Ability to follow established guidelines for assessing
compliance with operational procedures and ensuring desired
outcomes.Must have valid drivers' license.Physical Demands:While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to
operate standard office equipment.Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision requirements due to
frequent computer work.Light to moderate lifting is required up to
50lbs.Moderate noise level typical to an office
environment.Employee may be required to sit for extended periods of
time. Regular, predictable attendance is required as this position
