    Schedule: Full Time
    Shift: Days Mon- Fri 8am to 4:30pm
    Location: 20 MEDICAL PARK DRIVE, SUITE B, Asheville, 28803
    The role you'll contribute: Provides financial counseling to patients and families in accordance with the facility's policies. Assist patients/families with financial arrangements including financial assistance, for qualified patients, from outside Agencies.
    The value you'll bring to the team


    • Answers all phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner while ensuring that all calls are attended to and not dropped or missed.


    • Reviews and answers all patient correspondence, via phone, mail, administration, and offices.


    • Creates and approves payment arrangements; reviews with patient different payment options and possible financial assistance, i.e., state and local agencies, indigent care.


    • Meets with patient/family to obtain satisfactory payment agreement for all parties.


    • Reviews patient charges; evaluates patient's assets and liabilities to determine patient payment schedules.


    • Communicates with financial agencies, assist patients, regarding patient eligibility and/or financial settlement.


    • Monitors and maintains Work Items/CFUM's for all facilities.


    • Prepares patient itemized bill upon request; explain charges, payments and adjustments.


    • Monitors patient accounts; initiates collection procedures when appropriated.


      Qualifications
      The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:


      • High School graduates or equivalent required.


      • One year experience required in medical billing, collections and insurance.
