Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Days Mon- Fri 8am to 4:30pm
Location: 20 MEDICAL PARK DRIVE, SUITE B, Asheville, 28803
The role you'll contribute: Provides financial counseling to
patients and families in accordance with the facility's policies.
Assist patients/families with financial arrangements including
financial assistance, for qualified patients, from outside
Agencies.
The value you'll bring to the team
Answers all phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner while
ensuring that all calls are attended to and not dropped or
missed.
Reviews and answers all patient correspondence, via phone, mail,
administration, and offices.
Creates and approves payment arrangements; reviews with patient
different payment options and possible financial assistance, i.e.,
state and local agencies, indigent care.
Meets with patient/family to obtain satisfactory payment agreement
for all parties.
Reviews patient charges; evaluates patient's assets and liabilities
to determine patient payment schedules.
Communicates with financial agencies, assist patients, regarding
patient eligibility and/or financial settlement.
Monitors and maintains Work Items/CFUM's for all facilities.
Prepares patient itemized bill upon request; explain charges,
payments and adjustments.
Monitors patient accounts; initiates collection procedures when
appropriated.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
High School graduates or equivalent required.
One year experience required in medical billing, collections and
insurance.
