**Role Summary:** The Lead Auditor ? Quality will be responsible for performing quality audits and assessments in accordance with the GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Quality Assurance Program. **Essential Responsibilities:** As the Lead Auditor ? Quality you will: + Direct, plan, and perform audits per established QA Program and Procedural requirements + Work proactively with the Quality Staff and business organizations to plan, perform, and follow-up on audit and assessment activities + Develop checklists, reports, and supporting materials for performance of audits and assessments and make presentations to leadership and develop training + Maintain quality assurance programs and procedures and assure compliance with regulatory and license requirements + Provide work direction and supervision to quality audit teams as needed + Provide training to individuals in quality related activities + Support implementation and development of enhancements to improve the audit program and processes + Professionally represent GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy in the support of customer and regulatory audits/visits and other external organizations + Demonstrate and maintain customer focused team environment + Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex program and process conditions to assure that prompt and effective action is taken to prevent or, as necessary, resolve quality issues **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering or in a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 3 years of experience working within a nuclear QA Program or related disciplines, or a Bachelor?s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear power systems engineering/design **ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:** + Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer, and supplier facilities / sites (up to 35%) **Desired Characteristics:** + Certified or able to certify as a Lead Auditor to ASME NQA-1 or ANSI N45.2.23 + Demonstrated familiarity with 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, NQA-1, ASME Code or ISO-9001 requirements + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Six sigma training, green/black belt certified or equivalent Quality training + Familiarity with industry standards and expectations (ASME, ISO, IAEA, INPO, NEI, EPRI) + Familiarity with Root/Apparent Cause Analysis tools/techniques + Familiarity with Project Management, scheduling processes, and related tools + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products and other business productivity applications (Adobe, ERP, etc.) + Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop clear, concise, and accurate problem statements + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization + Working understanding of the Nuclear Power Industry in operations, engineering, and/or quality assurance + Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment + Develop imaginative initiatives that will be effective in improving quality + Able to inspire others to take actions in implementing quality initiatives + Experience working in or with a large matrix organization To stay connected with exciting news and the latest job opportunities from GE businesses, follow us on twitter: @geconnections at http://bit.ly/geconnections **About Us:** Based in Wilmington, N.C., GEH is a world-leading provider of advanced reactors and nuclear services.
