Job Description:
US Foods, a leader in the foodservice distribution industry, is
seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to maintain and
repair our fleet of delivery vehicles. This role is critical to
ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our logistics network,
facilitating the timely distribution of food products to our
customers. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will work in a dynamic
environment, using advanced diagnostic tools to tackle complex
mechanical issues on modern diesel engines. Perform routine
maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel engines and vehicle
systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using diagnostic software
and tools. Keep detailed records of services performed on vehicles.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize vehicle
performance. Strong understanding of diesel engine components and
functions. Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools. Ability
to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Diesel Mechanic (CDM) preferred. Valid Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) is a plus.
