Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time, on-site Teacher for Deaf and Hard of
Hearing (DHH) students is needed to serve a caseload of
approximately 1012 K-12 students in Mooresville, NC. This contract
position follows a school-year schedule and requires a valid NCDPI
DHH Professional Educators License. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver
Special Education instruction aligned with students Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) and the North Carolina Standard Course of
Study - Develop and implement lesson plans incorporating
differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs -
Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess student progress and
needs - Actively participate in IEP meetings including development
of present levels, goals, and services - Monitor classroom behavior
and student academic progress to promote a safe and productive
learning environment - Maintain all required documentation such as
notes, progress summaries, and IEP records - Collaborate and
communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families
to support student success - Adhere to all Special Education
compliance requirements Qualifications: - Valid North Carolina
Department of Public Instruction DHH Professional Educators License
(active license verification required) - Experience working in K-12
educational settings with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
preferred - Ability to deliver instruction on-site and maintain
consistent attendance - Strong communication and collaboration
skills essential Location: Mooresville, North Carolina Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (school-based schedule) Contract
Duration: School Year Interested candidates must submit a complete
