Posting Details Position Information Posting Number F0088 Department Visiting Assistant Professor of Management Rank Specialization Management Tenure Status Non Tenure Track Position Summary MANAGEMENT - The University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Management and Accountancy, accredited by AACSB, invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting position to begin Fall 2019. Rank and salary will be determined according to degree and experience. An earned Ph.D. in Management or related field is preferred; however, candidates nearing completion of their doctorate (ABD) and candidates with an appropriate Master's degree (e.g., MPA or MBA) will be considered. The successful candidate must be qualified to primarily teach the senior capstone course in Strategic Management and additional courses that align with the candidate qualifications and interests. The person selected for this position will be expected to teach 12 contact hours per semester, serve as an academic advisor, mentor undergraduate research students, and engage in service to the institution, the community and the profession. We require maintenance of appropriate faculty qualifications commensurate with the Department's guidelines that align with AACSB standards. Faculty members are expected to teach across the University's Liberal Arts Core (LAC) program, our required interdisciplinary liberal arts curriculum, in courses that include, but are not limited to: introductory (freshman) colloquia; diversity intensives; courses that satisfy the Scientific Perspectives, Social Science courses and Arts and Ideas requirements; courses within the Humanities Program; and LAC Senior Capstone courses. UNC Asheville has been a national leader in undergraduate research for more than 30 years, and over 60% of our students graduate each year having been involved in this important learning experience.
