over responsibility for all gear pump customer projects in North
America, with the focus on design engineering:* First contact
person for customer's gear pump projects in the U. S* Design work
for external gear pump variants* Deriving technical concepts for
improving existing series products* Creating detailed drawings in
3D CAD (ProE) for customer prototypes and series production by
applying design for manufacturing principles* Compiling product
validation plans and organizing testing schedules for customer
projects* Driving cost reduction projects and supporting supplier
changesQualificationsBachelor or Master of Science degree in a
mechanical or fluid power discipline or equivalent education with
minimum 3 years experience.* Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency
in mechanical-hydraulic engineering fundamentals.* Understand cause
& effect relationship of component interactions* Must have
demonstrated problem solving skills and good communication skills,
both verbal and written* Experienced in design engineering for
series production products with components made of steel or
aluminum with tight tolerances* Fluent in English, German knowledge
a plus* Capability and eager to be responsible and customer
oriented* Ability to structure tasks and perform under time
pressure* Excellent CAD/CAE design knowledge in ProEngineer* PC
experience with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
software and SAP* Capable of traveling (- 20%)Additional
InformationCandidate will work in a design engineering environment
consisting of Project Managers, Design Engineers, System, Software
and Electronic Engineers, a total of about 25 associates. This is
an E2/E3 job grade.
