Job Description:

Our Client, An International Automotive Company is looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to join their team in Greer, SC! ***This is a 1 year+ Ongoing Contract Position With a Strong Possibility of Conversion or Extension! *** As the Cloud Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain cloud architectures and technologies to support their local DEVOPS Hubs Americas' product teams.
Responsibilities-- Create and develop Kubernetes architecture and tools for product teams and platforms-- Evaluate and implement Kubernetes managed solutions from vendors (EKS, AKS)-- Develop cluster creation/maintenance scripts (Infrastructure as code, Terraform, etc..)-- Utilize version control of the Infrastructure as Code with strong understanding of branching and merging strategies (Bitbucket)-- Deploy CI/CD pipeline utilization (Jenkins) for the creation of clusters-- Perform and create cluster monitoring and infrastructure health reporting (Prometheus, Grafana)-- Develop network controls (ingress/egress for internet/intranet access)-- Maintain cluster security (key management, Vault)-- Develop highly available, scalable clusters (scale out, scale up, multiple AZs)-- Develop logging/monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure (Splunk)
Required skills and experience-- Cloud Architecture experience (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc)-- experience Developing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, YAML, Shell Scripts, etc)-- experience with database administration/ SAP Basis Administration preferred-- experience with container based deployments via Docker-- experience with at least one scripting language (python, bash, shell, etc)-- experience with REST Web Services and JSON/XML sufficient to support microservice developers
