Manager, Professional Services Harris Local Government - Remote Harris Local Government is seeking a Manager of Professional Services to join our team! The primary function of the Manager of Professional Services (PS) is to ensure the timely and profitable completion of the implementation projects within the business unit by providing leadership and assistance throughout the Professional Services department. Our Manager will lead by example on the path to reaching maximum client satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. This person will be an integral part of a motivated and collaborative cross-functional leadership team striving to guarantee our customers' positive experience with us and our products. This position is primarily a remote (work from home) position and as such will require excellent management, communication, and organizational skills. What will your impact be: Customer Focused * Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure customer success from initial onboarding to the successful hand-off to the support team once fully implemented. * Interface with clients during the implementation phase, including regular meetings, to ensure good communication of the scope, expectations, progress, and deadlines for implementations. * Provide timely follow-up and issue management. Ensure contractual obligations are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Team Focused * Manage daily operations of team resources and ensure all staff maintains high levels of professionalism and customer service. * Manage departmental structure, including employee hiring, performance reviews, and terminations. * Establish clear and measurable objectives for the services team. Monitor & measure these objectives regularly and provide coaching & discipline as required. Operation Focused * Meet monthly revenue goals and regularly report to upper management on performance to forecast. * Monitor the overall performance of the department by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators and reporting out to the leadership team. * Analyze current implementation procedures and, as needed, work with PS Director to develop improved methodologies. * Establish implementation milestones and track real-time progress against these milestones. Identify risks to project roll-out and develop actions to reduce those risks. * Successfully "close" implementations based on mutually defined criteria between the customer and internal teams. What we are looking for: Qualifications * Highly driven, results-oriented, and able to manage time with competing priorities. * Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to achieve goals and improve performance. * Two or more years of direct management experience in Professional Services. * Five years or more experience in a Professional Services organization. * Ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of services individuals. * Knowledge of enterprise, business-critical, software/database applications. * Knowledge of local government business processes is considered an asset. * Proven experience in project management. PMP, ACP-PMI certification or equivalent preferred. * Consistent ability to meet and adhere to deadlines. * Ambitious and result oriented self-starter with initiative and strong drive Required Skills * Strong analytical skills and business acumen. * Demonstrated presentation skills and experience. * Strong technical and analytical skills. * Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint). Soft Skills * Effective time management, organization, and reporting skills. * Strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills. * Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. * Passion, initiative, and drive to continuously develop and work with creativity and innovation.
