Job Description:
MAHEC is growing! We are seeking to add a Manager of Quality
Improvement Implementation to our Quality Improvement team.
Project-oriented, eager to solve problems, and create efficiency,
the QII Manager will manage and lead organizational initiatives for
Quality and Process Improvement programs to achieve strategic
operational goals and objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the leadership and ongoing development of
MAHEC's embedded Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinators
- Plans, coordinates and oversees the cross-disciplinary
development, implementation, and measurement of workflows designed
to improve quality and financial outcomes
- Facilitates project teams at the system/strategic level and
applies expert knowledge on the use of Lean Six Sigma methods and
tools such as DMAIC, project management principles, charters,
flowcharts and Value Stream Maps, fishbone diagrams, root cause
analysis, FMEA, Kaizen, brainstorming, mistake proofing, and
control plans
- Partners with IT department and data systems team in optimizing
EMR integration and utilization, workflows, and ensuring actionable
reporting across clinical departments and fiscal services
- Uses advanced graphical and statistical analysis; and supports
the development of predictive and prescriptive analytic models to
identify areas with the need for greatest improvement
- Leads in the development, maintenance and dissemination of
MAHEC's QI tools and programs
- Participates on committees and work groups involved in quality
performance optimization, clinical efficiency, and revenue cycle
optimization as appropriate within the clinical departments
- Participates in organizational strategy development to optimize
MAHEC performance in payor Quality and Shared Savings
programs.
- Participates in meetings and conversations with insurance
carriers and ACOs regarding Quality performance
- Provides individual and "just-in-time" QI coaching as
needed.
- Promotes and participates in continuing education programs of
the department, to include didactics in areas of interest in MAHEC
clinical departments KEY COMPETENCIES:

COMPUTER
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and database applications required.
- SQL experience preferred FOREIGN LANGUAGE
- Spanish speaking skills preferred. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- QI Consultants EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Master's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or a related
field, or an equivalent combination of years of education and
experience
- 4+ years of healthcare experience including demonstrated
knowledge of multi-specialty ambulatory operational and clinical
systems
- 2+ years leadership/managerial experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- 4 years of QI-focused work with demonstrated knowledge and
application of QI principles may be substituted for a Six Sigma
Black Belt
- Six Sigma Green Belt plus 2 years of QI-focused work with
demonstrated knowledge and application of QI principles may be
substituted for a Six Sigma Black Belt PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with insurance carriers and Accountable Care
Organizations REQUIRED LICENSES:
SCHEDULE:
- Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this
position. Typical business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to
5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the
Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend, holiday, or evening
coverage is occasionally required. Work hours will need to be
flexible in order to respond to special work assignments, or
evening activities, as requested by the team leader.
POSITION COMPENSATION:
Starting at $80,200
