Responsibilities The RegisteredNurse (RN) -Rapid Response Team (RRT) is a registered professionalnurse who functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager and isresponsible for coordination of Rapid Response Team assessment ofpatient, prioritization and implementation of interventions toensure optimal patient outcomes, documentation of interventions andoutcomes, communication with other team members and disciplines,and safe delivery of age appropriate and culturally aware patientcare. The RRT Nurse is accountable for addressing thepatient/family biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocialand education needs. The RRT Nurse serves as a resource/support tothe staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments.The RRT Nurse is responsible for RRT calls, follow-up visits, RRTdata collection, entry and analysis, development of RRT practiceguidelines, evaluation of patient codes and informal education ofstaff. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: * Graduate of anaccredited/approved school of nursing; Required Minimum Licensure:* Current licensure as a professional registered nurse in the Stateof Georgia; Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.Required Minimum Experience: * A minimum of two (2) years ofnursing practice in a critical care environment; * Current AmericanHeart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support credentialsrequired; * Current AHA Basic Life Support credentials required; *National certification in critical care nursing preferred * NIHSScertification required Required Skills: * Ability to read, writeand speak the English language; * Strong customer service andinterpersonal skills; * Inter- and intra-departmental coordinationof patient care activities; * Delegation skills required; Abilityto multi-task essential; * Ability to function in stressful andemergency situations essential; * Strong detail orientationrequired; * Computer skills required; * Personal time managementskills are required; * Compliance with the American Nurses'Association Code of Ethics for Professional Nurses is required; *Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within parameters outlinedin Georgia Registered Professional Nurse Practice Act.
