Overview Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located on Highway 64 between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center.Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has 24 beds for acute care services and 80 beds in the Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care practices serving both Highlands and Cashiers.Role Summary: Provides leadership by coordinating management activities and care delivery for a patient care unit. Supervises assigned employees and oversees area daily operations, programs, and activities consistent with Department Leadership's direction. Exercises management responsibilities through problem solving collaboration as delegated by Department Manager.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Nurses with an Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing must sign agreement to obtain BSN within 6 years of the hire date in to position. Nurses who are nearing the end of their professional career may be exempted from this requirement with CNO System Council approval.Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
