RNs with 1 or more years of experience are invited to join our RN
We offer a competitive base hourly rate between $30.00 and $45.00
per hour dependent upon the level of shift commitment within a 6
The Float Pool RN must meet ICU, ED and General Medical Surgical
Unit competency skills sets as the ability to work in these units
is a requirement.
Level 1 - Day shift $30.00 per hour/Night shift $33.00 per hour.
Commitment: Minimum of 6 shifts (72 hours) per six week schedule
and 1 shift (12 hours) must be on the weekend.
Level 2 - Day shift $35.00 per hour/Night shift $38.00 per hour.
Commitment: Minimum of 7 shifts (84 hours) per six week schedule
and 2 shifts (24 hours) must be on the weekend.
Level 3 - Day shift $40.00 per hour/Night shift $42.00 per hour.
Commitment: Minimum of 8 shifts (96 hours) per six week schedule
and 3 shifts (36 hours) must be on the weekend.
Level 4 - Day shift $42.00 per hour/Night shift $45.00 per hour.
Commitment: Minimum of 9 shifts (108 hours) per six week schedule
and 4 shifts (48 hours) must be on the weekend.
Float Pool RNs are eligible to receive all applicable evening,
night, and weekend shift differentials. These RN positions are PRN
status. PRN employees are not eligible for most benefits, but PRN
employees are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k)
retirement plan and are eligible for the Discretionary Employer
The Float Pool RN holds shift accountability to provide direct care
to the patients by utilization of the nursing process in accordance
with the established policies and procedures of Harris Regional
Hospital. Abides by the standards of care set by state board of
nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency
regulations. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing
education. -Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the
education and experience of other staff.
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing
process. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team
members. Provides physical and psychological support to patients,
friends, and families. Supervises assigned team members. -Assists
with orienting new employees and students as required.
RN must have a minimum of one year of experience in order to be
eligible to participate in the RN Float Pool.
1. Must have current RN licensure in the State of North Carolina or
from a compact state.
2. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS maintained.
3. Current AHA ACLS maintained.
4. Current AHA PALS maintained.
1. Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
2. Ability to see colors, see at least 1 mm squares.
3. Ability to hear and distinguish heart, lung, and bowel
4. Ability to reach overhead.
5. Ability to remain calm, continue to function effectively and
develop priorities during stressful situations.
6. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families,
visitors, healthcare team, leadership and others. Ability to use
sensory and cognitive functions to process and prioritize
information, treatment and follow-up.
7. Ability to use fine motor skills.
8. Ability to move and operate equipment and carry supplies.
9. Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
10. Ability to remain focused and organized.
