Staff Today Inc. (STI) is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in Walterboro, SC. This is registry position with our company Staff Today Inc.
Job Requirements:

State: Bachelor' s degree and relevant program experience. DMH Preferred: Bachelor' s Degree in Human Services or Administration or related field; five years' experience in long-term care or unit administration, PI/QA, contract monitoring, private-public partnerships, and/or policy implementation. Individual must understand the dynamics of the long-term care setting. Responsible for audit process planning, implementation and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of laws, statutes, policies that impact the program. Knowledge of budget analysis and financial reporting. Ensures rules, regulations and contract provisions are enforced.

Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment. Must have the ability to plan, implement and administer contract monitoring services. Ability to assist with risk mitigation. Ability to implement auditing techniques to ensure contracted services are adequately delivered. Have basic computer and word processing skills to enter data for reporting purposes. Assist with creation and maintenance of reporting systems to track all required reports including, transition plans, daily reports, monthly reports and quarterly reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with DMH staff and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal skills.

Employee will have limited supervision, reporting to the Program Manager II. Employee maintains a high level of professionalism and uses discretion in handling job duties.

A valid SC Driver' s license. Daytime travel to locations across the state may be required at times.

Job Purpose:

Under limited supervision of the Program Manager II, this position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the contract operations of Veteran Victory House Long-Term Care Home in accordance with the terms specified in the contract with the vendor and as specified by Federal (VA) and state laws, rules, policies, procedures, and standards. Assists with creation of audit tools, participates in audits and reporting procedures, and participates in evaluating quality of facility and treatment services. Provides consultation and problem-solving methods to improve the services of the contract monitoring program particularly with regard to auditing and contract issues between vendor and program.

Job Function:

  • Assists with planning and organizing contract monitoring services. Participates in the development of a process for effective contract monitoring services for the program ensuring that contract objectives are met and contractor deadlines kept. Participates in the development of checklists and audit tools to be used during monitoring activities. Serves as advocate to ensure that the rights of all residents are protected. Establishes rapport with and solicits feedback from residents, their families, and other sources.
    • Completes monitoring services such as site reviews, desk reviews, and audits, including monthly environmental rounds. Assists with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including status and activity reports which document responsiveness of vendor, completion of contracted activities, and quality of services. Assists with follow-up to ensure corrective actions are completed for issues identified via the monitoring processes.
      • Reconciles monthly invoices for accuracy and to ensure the correct payments are paid to vendor.
        • Serves as liaison between SCDMH stakeholders and vendor. Attends regular meetings with vendor and communicates information to stakeholders. Participates in meetings with SCDMH stakeholders to address concerns about the vendor and develops solutions to identified issues. Attends meetings with DMH and Vendors to ensure positive outcomes. Serves as back-up to Program Manager II for meeting documentation.
          • Assists with the maintenance of contract documents, communications, and reports. Notifies Program Manager II of significant events, issues identified as potential risks, and breaches of the contract. Assists with maintenance of Issues Log and communicates progress to Program Manager II.
