A well-respected Duke LifePoint facility is seeking an additional Nurse Practitioner - Psych - near Asheville, NC



The Behavioral Health Unit has recently undergone a unit expansion from 17 beds to 33 beds. Our units accommodate both Adult and Geriatric patients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great multidisciplinary team that puts the patient first. Join an experienced PA and Psychiatrist who are willing to provide mentorship. We are seeking an NP to work on our inpatient behavioral health units and provide behavior health and medical management.



Expectations for this position include the following: rounding daily on follow-up patients on both the Adult and Geriatric units; performing medical H&P's on geriatric patients and offering basic medical consultation on admitted behavioral health patients; and to be available when necessary for infrequent behavioral health consults on the medical floor and in the ED. Call is shared equally and will be required for this position. One night of call per week along with one weekend per month will be required. Some degree of Psychiatry/Behavioral Health experience is required.



This position is a hospital employed position that offers a base salary and comprehensive benefit package including sign on bonus and student loan repayment.
