Qualifications Role Summary: Provides nursing care for the comfort
and well being of patients. Administers prescribed medications,
including IV solutions, and nutrition. Changes dressings and
provides wound care. Documents care delivery, patient condition,
reaction and progress. Reinforces patient and family
teaching/counseling. Essential Accountabilities: 1. Provides
patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse assigned to the
patient. Performance Criteria: 1. Ensures accurate, safe, and
timely delivery of medications, IV solutions and treatments. 2.
Ensures safe environment for patient. 3. Patient comfort measures
are provided. 4. Care is delivered in an organized manner according
to patient schedule and needs. 5. Patient and family teaching is
reinforced. 6. Ensures accurate and timely documentation. 7.
Delegates to unlicensed personnel according to scope of practice
and competency by department standards. 8. Treatment plan is
followed. 9. Nutritional needs are monitored. 2. Collaborates with
patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve
desired outcomes. Performance Criteria: 1. Participates in rounds,
report, and patient/family conferences by department standards. 2.
Serves as advocate for patients and families 3. Changes in
patient's health status, treatment regimen, and trends are
reported. 3. Participates as a member of care team to achieve
business goals and quality outcomes. Performance Criteria: 1.
Patient charges are documented. 2. Collaborates and enters
information for acuity classification by department standards. 3.
Knowledge of techniques, procedures and regulations appropriate to
the population served are updated per department standard is a
community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding
counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the
hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care,
rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living
Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy
services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more
than 24 beds for acute care services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd
