Responsibilities:Responsible for effectively organizing and/or prioritizing work to assist with efficient patient flow in the clinic.Responsible for completing patient check in and check out services including: Greeting patients upon arrival Preparing documentation for patients and medical providers Verify patient demographics and insurance information Collecting and posting payments for healthcare services Schedules, accommodates and updates patient appointments, including same day/walk in appointmentsResponsible for completion of clinical work and assigned tasks related to patient care.Responsible for supporting organizational mission and goal achievement, organization quality goals, and providing safe, patient-centered care. Professional and Technical Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent required. If CSS has Certification/Licensure, Specific Requirements include: LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in state of North Carolina MA: Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical AssistantCurrent CPR CertificationKnowledge of medical terminology Experience in working in ambulatory care settingBilingual preferred, but not required. If bilingual, provides language support services, as requested, based on patient and clinic needs.Physical Demands: Moves in and out of exam rooms, front office, hallways, and waiting room. Spends a good portion of the day on feet Some bending and stooping required. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds. Over 50 pounds requires assistance.
