We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsSummary:Provides nursing care for the comfort and wellbeing of patients. Administers prescribed medications, including IV solutions and nutrition. Documents care delivery, patient condition, reaction and progress. Reinforces patient and family teaching/counseling.Qualifications:Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:Required Education: Accredited LPN ProgramPreferred Education: NoneRequired License: Must have and maintain a current North Carolina LPN license: BLS/CPRPreferred License: None 3Other Requirements: Driver's License, Auto Insurance coverage to comply with the auto liability insurance requirements and must be 21 years of age or older.Required Experience: 12 months of recent acute care or home care experience with medically fragile patients or agreement to complete additional training/competency program offered at the discretion of CarePartners Private Duty.The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.

  • Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
    
  • Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
    
  • Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
    
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
    
  • Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.

    What qualifications you will need:
    
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Class C License must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
    • Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN) must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
