Position Summary: Under the direction of the CEO, the Nursing Manager will oversee and provide direction of nursing care implementation to primarily residential, day treatment clients, and therapeutic foster care clients within agency policy/procedures, North Carolina General Statutes, and the North Carolina Board of Nursing's Scope of Practice rules for RNs. The Director of Nursing supervises and provides direction to Nurses. Department: Nursing Status: Full Time/Salaried Benefits Eligible: Yes PTO & Sick Leave Eligible: Yes Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Requirements: Provide supervision to nurses in performance of physical assessments and review of health information on Residential clients for admission, medical evaluation purposes, and to assist staff in developing plans to meet their medical and psychiatric needs.Oversee the coordination of access to appropriate service providers in care management. Ensures the obtainment of orders, administration of medication to clients and the completion of thorough and accurate medication documentation to insure compliance with all licensure and accreditation requirements.Provide on-call duties and emergency coverage for the Nursing Department.Collaborate on the nursing department budget and ensure appropriate purchases and supplies for the department are made for efficient operation.Oversee staffing needs of the department: Reviewing applications and resumes, conducting interviews, hiring decisions, and coaching and disciplinary measures. Qualifications: The position requires the individual to be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years of psychiatric or related nursing experience and a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Skills/Physical/Working Conditions: A valid North Carolina Driver's License and insurability by EHI's insurers is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays. Must successfully complete phases of an intensive pre-service training workshop and demonstrate proficiency in stated training.
