Position Title: Clinic Inspector Level II - 2nd shift

Working on the production line you will inspect blades and vanes as well as perform over-inspects for operators. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed.

Inspector Level 2: The inspector will be working to obtain an inspection stamp or have a newly required stamp. The inspector will have a further skill that would allow them to understand layout inspection. The person will be able to use advanced equipment like a shadow graph and understand CMM reports. The basic operations would include final inspection, writing QN's, inventory management, and scrap removal. The inspector will work in the MRB-Quality Clinic area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment
  • Accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings
  • Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results
  • Perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation
  • Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followed
  • Perform induction process for nonconforming material entering the MRB-Quality Clinic
  • Maintain Inventory Management System within the MRB-Quality Clinic
  • Perform basic cycle counts as required to maintain inventory
  • Perform post-disposition process for the MRB-Quality Clinic
  • Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
  • Detailed inspection cert is required at the conclusion of training.
  • Train other personnel
  • Provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the Inspection team
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibits consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity.
  • Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
    • 3+ years of experience working a Quality or related technical role within a manufacturing/ production facility
    • Familiarity with plant tools, equipment, blueprints and inspection gauges
    • Ability to conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing
    • Ability to work overtime as needed
    • Aptitude for training

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Solid understanding of conventional Quality related inspection, NDT, CMM, calibration and other machine shop inspection process and procedures
      • Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, clinic and MRB.
      • Understanding of Aerospace Quality requirements
      • Understanding and comprehension of engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings
      • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, planning, problem solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
      • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations regulatory requirements or work experience with government regulatory agencies
      • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO
      • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
      • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies
      • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification a desired plus

This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
