TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801 Pay Information $1,994 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse license in good standing Certifications: BLS, Telemetry Must-Have: - Telemetry competency - Ability to manage 6-7 patients depending on the shift - Experience with urology and bowel conditions Job Description: - Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced telemetry unit adhering to medical protocols and guidelines. - Communicate effectively with charge nurse, unit secretary, providers, and the CNA team. - Manage a diverse range of patient needs, including the use of telemetry, PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, and urinary catheters. - Handle various procedures such as TPN, PCA, wound vacs, tube feeds (e.g., PEG tubes, dobhoffs, NG tubes), colostomies, urostomies, and management of drains (biliary, JP, nephrostomy, urinary catheters, CBI). - Administer heparin drips and IV antibiotics, and manage general and specialty surgeries including cholecystectomies, appendectomies, podiatry, bowel resections, plastics, urology surgeries, nephrectomies, hysterectomies, mastectomies, oral/maxillary, thyroidectomies, and hernia repairs. - Adopt a positive, smiling, and engaging demeanor; maintain a fast-paced, energetic approach to patient care. Dress Code: Navy blue pants, navy blue or white scrub top and jacket (if needed), and white undershirt (if needed). Sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, coats, or jackets are not permitted. Weekend and On-Call Information: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
