PM – 7:00 AM Schedule Details - Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week (36/36
schedule) - Block Scheduling: Not available - Call Requirement:
None - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Float
Requirement: Yes — to MS-type patients as needed - Start Day:
Orientation begins on Sundays (CBLs online) Job Requirements -
Experience: Minimum 2 years Med-Surg RN experience required -
Patient Ratios: 1:6–7; candidates must be pre-closed on 1:7 ratio -
Travel Experience: Not required - License: Active Tennessee RN
license or Compact RN license (required at submission) -
Certifications (Required): - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (Preferred) - Local
Rule: Travelers must reside 100 miles from facility - RTO: Must be
included with submission - Labs: Candidate must complete drug
screen 12–14 days prior to start; no scheduling conflicts allowed
during this period - BSN: Required for international travelers Unit
Overview - Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics - Beds: 60-bed
unit (shared between 2 Med-Surg units) - Daily Census: Approx. 54
patients - Common Diagnoses: - General Med-Surg - Telemetry -
Orthopedics (e.g., total joint replacements) - Urology - Gastrology
- Respiratory illnesses - Comfort care/palliative Responsibilities
& Skills RequiredIV Therapy / Phlebotomy - Starting IVs -
Peripheral Line Care/Management - Central Line blood draws - Blood
Product Administration - Accessing Ports (preferred) - PICC Line
Management - Phlebotomy (preferred) Respiratory Care - CPAP/BiPAP -
HFNC - Oxygen via nasal cannula & face mask - Portable oxygen tank
usage - Tracheostomy care (preferred) - Chest tubes
(Emerson/Pleur-evac – preferred) - Oral suctioning Medications -
Insulin administration - Heparin administration GI/GU - Feeding
tube care and management - Colostomy care - Renal failure
management Cardiac & Emergency Monitoring - Telemetry monitoring
(on-unit) - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Monitoring for CVA/stroke
Other Clinical Skills - Isolation precautions - Wound care / wound
vac management - Care of surgical drains (preferred) - Orthopedic
