Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - CVICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit with 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratios depending on acuity /n• Holdover downgraded patients may be 1:3 ratio /n• Arrive to unit ready for work no earlier than 7 minutes prior to shift start at 6:45 AM /n• Work every other weekend with extra days off in contract /n• Overtime must be approved by CNCs /n• Must have 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and critical care training /n• Preferred certifications in critical care, cardiac surgery, or recovery room care /n• Perform typical procedures including IABP, Impella, hemodynamics, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, LVAD care, intubation/extubation /n• Float to all ICUs, stepdown units, and other units as needed /n• Work with GE monitors and Cerner EMR system /n• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs, nursing shoes, hair off shoulder, no fake nails /n• Must demonstrate high energy, upbeat personality with love for surgical heart care /n• Safety policy requires second nurse guidance for unfamiliar procedures /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit located on the 3rd floor of the Heart Tower. The facility performs approximately 850 heart surgeries per year and maintains a highly trained team including CVICU/CVRU charge nurses and dedicated educators for orientation.
