Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC - Location: Asheville, NC (28801) - Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry (D2, 2nd Floor) - Job Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026) - Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Scrub Color: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840 Telemetry RN Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care and telemetry nursing experience - Telemetry competency and clinical skills - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred - Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and step-down patients in a fast-paced, inpatient overflow unit - Monitor and manage telemetry equipment; ensure all patients are hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, CNAs, and other RNs - Maintain patient ratios of 1:5/1:6, adapting to varying levels of care - Provide compassionate, patient-focused care with a positive attitude - Participate in quick patient turnover and manage short-stay (24-hour LOS) cases - Float to other units within the facility as required Experience rewarding travel nursing jobs in Asheville, NC, and join a leading healthcare team in Asheville, NC.
