Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in
Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements -
Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN -
Start Date: 12/22/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week -
Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job
Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A
minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is
required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks.
Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial
assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU
Job Details: • Work in a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with
mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down
patients • Handle short stay patients (less than 24 hour length of
stay) with quick turnover • Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 stretch
depending on level of care • Work with telemetry equipment - all
patients hardwired to bedside monitor when telemetry monitoring
indicated • Use Cerner EMR system • Required to float to other
units as needed • Every other weekend required, no call required •
Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience •
Recent progressive care experience preferred • Required
certifications: BLS and ACLS • Dress code: Navy and/or white top,
navy bottom, or all white scrubs • Day shift staffing includes 1
charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs • Night shift staffing includes 1
charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs • Position requires positive attitude,
patient experience focus, kindness, compassion, and strong teamwork
