Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Brevard, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,492 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RRT Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: Critical Care, vent management, ABG procedure and analysis, Rapid Response and Code Blue Description: This is a full-service, critical access hospital operating 25 beds. The facility is fully accredited and has received several awards. It was formed in 1933 with a mission to serve community healthcare needs. The hospital is committed to providing state-of-the-art healthcare with personal attention. This position requires working 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends. The unit typically has 1-2 therapists during the day and 1 therapist at night. The type of equipment includes V60 (bipap), GE 860 ventilators, Vapotherms, Comfort Flows, and Aervo. The documentation system used is Cerner. Emergency care, critical care, intubations, and access/treatment skills are essential. The role involves vent management, daily treatments and assessments, and performing ABGs. Participation in all codes and rapid response situations is required, including intubation as needed. Candidates must be self-starters with proactive patient care and strong multi-tasking skills. They should be capable of working independently and making patient care plans based on diagnostic results. Teamwork with physicians and nursing is crucial for this position.
