Practice Setting Free-Standing Cancer Center ? ? Collaborative
team of physicians and APPs Strong nursing and clinical support
Patient Population Adult & Geriatric patients Case Mix: 65% Benign
Hematology 35% Malignant Oncology 0% Internal Medicine Daily
Patient Volume Outpatient: 25 patients/day Inpatient
(rounding/call): 20 patients/day Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient & Inpatient Oncology care Participation in Tumor Board
Management of Bone Marrow Transplants Blood Bank oversight Ordering
tests & imaging Prescribing medications Chemotherapy administered
by Oncology Nursing staff Call Schedule No call required during
locum assignment If converted to permanent: Call is 1 week every 6
8 weeks Technology EMR: EPIC ? Travel & Expense Coverage Flight
Hotel Rental Car Requirements Board Certified in Hematology &
Oncology Active South Carolina Medical License ? BLS & DEA
