Roles & Responsibilities Assess and monitor progressive care patients, using strong clinical judgment to detect changes Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately Manage telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring for patients requiring advanced surveillance Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute individualized care plans Provide patient and family education with compassion and clear communication Respond to acute events and de-escalate situations with calm, practiced interventions Participate in handoffs and documentation to ensure continuity of high-quality care Contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives and best-practice adoption Qualifications Active RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility for state/compact licensure) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, ideally with PCU or progressive care experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain Comfort with telemetry, IV medication administration, and acute patient assessment Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a busy interdisciplinary team Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and interpretation Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical deterioration IV medication administration and titration Electronic health record documentation and accurate charting Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment Therapeutic patient and family communication Team collaboration and care coordination Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel support to make your assignment comfortable Medical, dental, and vision coverage so you can focus on patients, not paperwork Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current Paid time off to recharge between shifts 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future Professional development and continuing education opportunities A supportive team that values your voice and clinical judgment Referral bonus program for bringing great colleagues into the fold Travel Perks: Explore Asheville, NC Asheville is a fantastic basecamp for outdoorsy weekends and vibrant local culture.
