Job Description Job Description We are seeking a professional and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our patient-focused medical team in Monroe, NC. This full-time, on-site role is based in a high-volume outpatient and urgent care clinic. As a key Advanced Practice Provider (APP) , you will deliver high-quality clinical care while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and healthcare staff. Job Overview As a Certified Physician Assistant , you will be responsible for managing acute and chronic patient needs. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys the variety of Urgent Care and Family Medicine , providing efficient diagnostic services and personalized treatment plans to the Monroe community. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages under the supervision of a licensed physician. Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and medical imaging (X-rays, CT scans), to support accurate clinical findings. Prescriptive Authority: Prescribe medications and therapies within the established scope of practice and state regulations. Clinical Collaboration: Work synchronously with MDs, Nurse Practitioners (NPs) , and nursing staff to ensure a seamless patient experience and optimal outcomes. Medical Records: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to ensure continuity of care. Patient Advocacy: Educate patients on preventative care, wellness strategies, and the management of chronic conditions. Requirements Licensure: Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure). Certification: Current NCCPA board certification ( PA-C ). Experience: Prior experience in Family Medicine , Internal Medicine , or Urgent Care is highly preferred. Clinical Skills: Strong clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and excellent patient communication skills.
