Oncology Opportunity in South Carolina with No Locum Call We are seeking a dedicated Medical Oncologist for a locum-to-permanent transition at a state-of-the-art, free-standing cancer center near Greenwood, South Carolina. This role is ideal for a provider looking to integrate into a stable, high-functioning team while serving a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. Schedule & Work-Life Balance Standard Hours: Monday ??? Friday | 8:30 AM ??? 4:30 PM. Locum Phase: No on-call requirement. Permanent Phase: If transitioned, call is light at 1 week every 6???8 weeks. Credentialing: 60-day timeframe with Emergency/Temporary Privileges available for an expedited start. Clinical Practice Details Patient Mix: 65% Benign Hematology | 35% Malignant Oncology. Daily Volume: Average of 25 outpatient encounters. Inpatient Responsibilities: Average of 20 patients per day during rounding/call. Supportive Team: Collaborative environment with 7 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers. Key Responsibilities Specialized Care: Manage bone marrow transplants and oversee blood bank activities. Collaboration: Lead/participate in Tumor Board discussions and work closely with specialized oncology nurses for chemotherapy administration. Clinical Management: Order/interpret diagnostic imaging and manage comprehensive treatment plans via EPIC EMR. Candidate Requirements Board Certification: Hematology & Oncology (Required). Licensure: Active South Carolina medical license (Candidates needing to obtain a license are encouraged to apply). Certifications: Current BLS and DEA.
