Job Description:
Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is
seeking a dedicated Plant Nurse to support the health and
well-being of our employees within our manufacturing facilities.
This role is pivotal in managing occupational health services,
implementing health and safety standards, and providing emergency
care to ensure a safe and productive work environment. The
successful candidate will bring a proactive, empathetic approach to
healthcare within the industrial setting, aligning with our
commitment to employee safety and well-being alongside operational
excellence. Provide first aid and emergency care for on-site
injuries and acute illnesses. Conduct pre-employment health
screenings and periodic health assessments. Develop and administer
workplace health and safety programs in collaboration with HR and
safety departments. Maintain accurate health records and ensure
confidentiality and compliance with all legal requirements.
Implement wellness programs that include health education and
disease prevention. Liaise with local healthcare providers and
manage referrals for specialized treatment. Assist in the
management of workers' compensation claims and follow-up care.
Conduct training sessions on first aid, CPR, and other
health-related topics. Proficient in first aid and emergency care.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and
record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently with strong
decision-making skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification required.
