Southern Health Partners, a leader in correctional healthcare, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Cleveland County Jail in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Provide nursing care and treatment of inmates within the correctional facility under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Administer medications and injections as prescribed and monitor for and report any adverse reactions. Assist with the evaluation of inmates’ health status and contribute to treatment plans. Document medical history and treatment data in accordance with established protocols. Respond to emergencies and provide necessary medical intervention within the scope of licensure. Educate inmates on health maintenance and disease prevention. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in electronic health records systems. Ability to handle stressful and unpredictable environments. Compassion and commitment to patient care. Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina. CPR certification required. Knowledge of correctional healthcare protocols preferred.
