ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedic Surgery for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Orthopedics Job Details: • Work on J6 Orthopedics unit with 32 individual patient rooms • Day shift patient ratio: 5:1 (6:1 stretch), Night shift patient ratio: 6:1 (7:1 stretch) • Work every other weekend • Float to other Med-Surg units as needed • Required to wear navy scrubs as per dress code policy • Use electronic medical records system (Cerner) • Work with specialized orthopedic equipment including walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs • Perform typical procedures including dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheter care, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance and removal • Must have NC nursing license and BLS certification • Hospital experience and orthopedic experience preferred • Must be a team player with ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and provide compassionate patient care Facility: This flagship healthcare facility is licensed for 815 beds and serves as the region's premier medical center.
