Under expert supervision, externs participate in a collaborative environment where learning and professional growth are encouraged. Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgery Help in the sterilization and preparation of surgical tools and equipment Participate in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Observe surgical procedures and complex patient interactions Assist nursing staff in monitoring patient recovery Support the implementation of patient care plans under supervision Engage in post-operative duties, ensuring a sterile and supportive environment for recovery Strong interpersonal and communication skills Basic understanding of healthcare safety protocols and personal protective equipment Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments Keen observational skills Basic clinical skills pertinent to a surgical setting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification before hire Any additional certification specific to healthcare or surgical care is a plus
