Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 09:00-21:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: Trauma experience, pediatric experience Description: The PACU unit is seeking a dedicated registered nurse. This unit cares for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient status and providing high-quality post-anesthesia care. Standard PACU equipment will be utilized in daily operations. The nurse will work with a supportive team that includes unit secretaries and patient care technicians. Patient ratios are 1:2, ensuring personalized care for each patient. Documentation will be completed using the Cerner system. Advanced skills needed include ventilator monitoring. The unit has protocols for floating within related departments as needed. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the NIH Stroke Scale. The dress code consists of surgical green or navy scrubs.
