quality in healthcare. The facility is licensed for 815 beds and
has been named among the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for
clinical quality. Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade awarded an A for
achievements in patient safety. The facility is a referral center
for trauma, stroke, and neonatal intensive care, among other
specialties. It also has a pediatric emergency room and
comprehensive surgical services. The Respiratory Services
department features a team of up to 16 respiratory therapists on
night shifts for adult service lines and NICU/Peds service lines.
Patient ratios range from 10 to 25. Typical equipment includes
adult and infant ventilators, transport ventilators, non-invasive
devices, and high flow oxygen devices. The EMR system used is
Cerner. The ideal candidate must possess a North Carolina
Respiratory License and have their RRT credential. BLS, ACLS, and
PALS certifications are also required. Candidates without these
qualifications will not be considered for the role. Floating areas
may include all critical care units and floors. The dress code
requires medium gray/pewter scrubs. Weekend shifts will vary, with
a minimum of four weekend shifts required in a six-week schedule.
