Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Jefferson, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,546 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Jefferson, North Carolina, 28640! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Ventilator management experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The shift is a fixed weekend schedule, working Friday through Sunday, with the option to contract for additional shifts. Ratios will be 1:4. Floating requirements apply; the nurse may work as a monitor technician if there are no patients available, which is rare. Every other weekend is required. Patient diagnoses include respiratory distress, cardiovascular disorders, substance abuse, and surgical patients requiring closer monitoring. Special procedures in this unit include telemetry monitoring, occasional arterial lines, BiPAP, and ventilators. The unit utilizes specific systems for medication, documentation, and communication. Scheduling is generally blocked but may change based on unit needs. The dress code is navy blue scrubs. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. This position does not require travel experience, but having charge experience is preferred.
