Join Koch Foods, a leader in the U.S. poultry processing industry, as a CDL Live Haul Driver. Drive within a dynamic team dedicated to safely and efficiently transporting live poultry from farms to processing facilities. As part of our transportation fleet, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and timeliness of our supply chain, ensuring that our high-quality poultry products reach their destination in excellent condition, ready for processing. Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport live poultry between farms, production facilities, and other designated locations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Complete logs and reports in a thorough and timely manner. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route destinations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, and ensure that loading/unloading is conducted smoothly. Report defects, accidents, or violations encountered on the route to the dispatcher. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Strong adherence to safety protocol. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Physical ability to load and unload cargo if needed. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Current DOT medical certification. Additional certification in Operating heavy machinery or transportation vehicles is a plus.
