  • Responsible for the coordination of clinical, management, and business activities by providing leadership for the delivery of nursing care of a patient care department. -
  • Supervises and facilitates the management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery. -
  • Exercises management responsibilities through problem-solving and collaboration, independently and as delegated by Nursing Director or Nursing Manager. -
    What qualifications you will need:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
    • Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt. -Mission Hospital is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
