Production Buyer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 75k/year - Duncan, SC Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered suspension solutions used in lighting, HVAC, and industrial applications. They have been a trusted provider in the commercial sectors for over 30 years, partnering with OEMs, distributors, and commercial clients to deliver high-quality, safety-focused solutions. They are looking for a Production Buyer ready to step into a high-impact role and take full command of the company’s purchasing and procurement function. The Production Buyer will be the central link between global suppliers, internal teams, and production timelines. From negotiating international vendor terms to ensuring critical components are on hand exactly when needed, the Production Buyer will be the go-to expert managing the flow of materials that keep operations moving Responsibilities: Manage all purchasing activities for production commodities, components, and services Track and maintain proper inventory levels weekly to prevent overstock or shortages Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with international suppliers (primarily India, Taiwan, and Germany) Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing documents, forecasts, and blanket/stocking orders Update internal teams on delivery delays, quality rejections, and purchasing changes Monitor tariffs, trade agreements (e.g., USMCA), and customs requirements to avoid costly errors Coordinate weekly with engineering and customer service teams to align on order status and needs Review and secure competitive bids, and ensure all vendor contracts follow company and federal guidelines Participate in month-end inventory closings and prepare detailed reports Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and execute plans to reduce excess Maintain vendor setup and order tracking using Microsoft Dynamics and Excel Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or related field or 5 years of experience in a production buying role Strong understanding of international procurement processes, tariffs, and shipping logistics Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) Must be comfortable with hands-on, high-volume purchasing and inventory control Willing to work in the Duncan, SC office for one week and in Las Vegas for two full days during onboarding Open to occasional domestic or international travel to visit suppliers Compensation: Base salary in the 60k - 75k/year range 2-4 weeks of PTO depending on level of experience Comprehensive benefits package 401k with company match Hybrid work schedule after onboarding, with initial training split between Duncan, SC and Las Vegas INDALL
