Job Description Job Description Salary: 17.00 Are you mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to be part of a purpose-driven team? Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring anEquipment Technician & Material Handler to support our Sustainability Department operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining and operating equipment that helps move, process, and recycle donated goods, directly supporting Goodwills mission of changing lives through work and training. What Youll Do Perform routine maintenance checks and schedule repairs on equipment such as balers, forklifts, and other machinery. Move materials safely throughout the warehouse and between production areas. Load and unload trucks daily to support the flow of materials and goods. Assist with installation, configuration, and testing of new equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs or component replacements as needed. Maintain accurate logs for inspections, maintenance, and repair activities. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor tool and equipment inventories and report maintenance needs promptly. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards related to equipment operation. Propose improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency of equipment. Collaborate with team members and support individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment in the work environment. Perform additional duties and assist with repairs or maintenance as assigned by the Director of Sustainability.
