Job Description:

LifeguardA lifeguard's main responsibility is to keep the patrons safe, maintain a clean facility, and have an excellent customer service mentality under direct supervision from their leadership team (Facility Director, Assistant Facility Director, and Facility Trainer). Lifeguards must be prepared to act responsibly in emergency situations, prevent emergencies from arriving, and enforce all facility rules. The company, in its discretion, may alter this job description at any time or without notice.Qualifications:Must be at least 15 years of age Must have a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard/ CPR/ First Aid/ AED Certification:Swim 300 yards (12 laps) 2 minute tread without using arms for supportSurface dive and recover a brick from at minimum 6 feet, and swim backwards the length of the pool to the wall in less than 1 minute 40 seconds Must be able to perform water rescues on victims of any weight and height Must attend SCMG's Traditions Training and On-site Training before first day of work Lifeguard Expectations:Attend In-service Training Understand and follow all SCMG policies and procedures Properly Maintain Facility Cleanliness (trash night, bathroom checks, etc.) Perform Basic Facility Operations (member check-in, guest policy, pool hours, etc.) Enforce Facility Rules (slide, diving board, etc.) Exposure to pool chemicals, including chlorineAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAll other facility specific needs deemed important by Full-Time staff member or Facility Director Any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned PI132901685
