Job Description:

MAHEC is seeking an experienced, warm, and professional Administrative Assistant to join the team at our Psychiatry Center for Mental Wellness, located at MAHEC's Biltmore campus. This is a full time (40 hours per week), fully benefited position, with a typical schedule of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Hours may occasionally be flexed to best meet the needs of the department/organization.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Director, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Administrative Director of Psychiatry and Department Chair, Psychiatry with additional direction from the CoCM and GME- Psychiatry teams.

* Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office * Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. * Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. * Ability to effectively communicate. * Adaptable and flexible, grasp new concepts, software and assignments quickly. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. * Accurately and efficiently keeps financial records * Coordinates meetings and conferences * Obtains supplies, and works on special projects. * Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required for position:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 yrs of Administrative Office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preference for position:

* Associate's Degree or BA

NECESSARY TECHNICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS:

* Computer Proficiency: Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; * Adaptable and flexible, grasp new concepts, software and assignments quickly * Communication: Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in written form; ability to use correct grammar, organization, and structure. * Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
