The Sporting Clays Club Range Safety Officer/Staff will be
responsible for the safety and operation of the Sporting Clays Club
daily activities to include maintenance of courses and equipment.
In addition, other duties will include member check-in, and retails
sales and reporting at the club; as well as monitoring of members
shooting at the club to ensure that all club rules and safety
practices are being adhered to. Staff will be expected to adhere to
Biltmore guidelines and guest service standards at all times, and
provide general assistance and support for leadership, the
department, and company as needed.
Weekend and holiday availability is a requirement for this job.
Schedules are generally in shifts from 7:00am - 5:00pm.
Essential Job Duties:
Ensure that all range areas are monitored for hazards.
Ensure that range equipment is functioning properly.
Ensure that club vehicles and equipment are working
- Ensure that club members are following proper safety practices
and are adhering to
- Properly perform office and retail duties which will include
member check-in, retail
sales, equipment rental, daily reporting, and any other
necessary or prescribed office
Completes any other duties or projects that are assigned by the
- Responsible for meeting Biltmore performance and service
standards necessary to
achieve expected levels of guest satisfaction.
High school diploma required. Additional education or training
preferred. Must have or be able to obtain NRA Range Safety Officer,
First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
At least one (1) year of related experience. Ideal candidate
will have had prior experience in the same or similar role working
in an upscale outdoor recreation or guest service environment.
Candidates must be familiar with all safety regulations and
procedures related to fly fishing and shooting instructor.
Experience fishing in regional waters preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class
internal/external guest service.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able
to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively to a wide
range of audiences; solid public speaking skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and project/time management
skills; prioritizes work with a focus on safety and quality, and
with attention to details; adapts, multi-tasks.
Proactive, exercises good judgment; anticipates, troubleshoots,

Applicant must be in good physical condition and able to sustain
