SUMMARY:
This position is a key member of
the Children’s Services team. The Volunteer & Recruitment
Coordinator is responsible for selecting, training, and supervising
the volunteer staff for the Children’s Services programs. The
Coordinator is also responsible for recruitment in the Service Area
for Head Start /Early Head Start and NC Pre-K teaching staff and
students, ensuring full enrollment of Children’s Services programs
and maintaining a healthy waitlist. Additionally, recruits and
matches volunteers with volunteer opportunities throughout the
programs. Provides formal presentations about the program services
and volunteer opportunities at events, civic and faith based
organizations and other community meetings. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Baccalaureate degree in Business
Management, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education,
Human Services, Non-Profit Management or related degree. Head Start
knowledge desired. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college
recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early
Education. Proficient in English and Spanish preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years’ experience
as Volunteer or Recruitment Coordinator or similar community
role. Strong knowledge of a variety of
recruiting methods including social media and other
venues. Some knowledge in Employer
Branding and Recruitment Marketing. Working knowledge of databases
and MS Office (especially Excel).
