Job Overview: LPL Financial is seeking an AVP, Security Operations (M&A) to work within its growing Information Security Operations organization reporting to the VP, Security Operations. As a subject matter expert you should be a motivated and driven individual that has the direct responsibility supporting the security operations team focused on Mergers and Acquisitions. This role will have direct responsibility to enhance and enable Security Operations by conducting comprehensive assessment of the M/A targets environment to identify security posture, align with business requirements and provide appropriate level of security controls. As a subject matter expert within the Security Operations team, focused on providing expert consultation and relationship management specific to M&A activity and collaborating across information security. This position partners with key business leaders, project and integration teams, technical leads, finance, and vendors.

Responsibilities: Manage the full life cycle of day-to-day security integration activities including coordination of detailed functional plans, communication with key stakeholders, and issue resolution. Create awareness of cross- functional inter-dependencies and establish prioritization for plan execution to minimize disruption on daily operations.

Establish goals that align with the mission and complete performance reviews.

Responsible for supporting Security Operations during normal business hours and in an on-call rotation outside normal business hours

Work hand in hand with security program management and tactical deployment teams to ensure alignment with strategy and vision.

Standardize and improve existing due diligence and security integration methods with inputs from across the Information Security team in order to comprehensively assess the target organization's technical environment, security posture and capabilities, and inherit internal and third-party risks. Capture best practices and lessons learned throughout the due diligence period for continuous improvement for future acquisitions.

Develop and maintain Security M&A Runbook to support lifecycle

Coordinates efforts among multiple business units during M&A activity

Develop solutions that balance business requirements with information security requirements

This position will also be supporting teams across Security Operations and extended Information Security teams including:
Endpoint and Network Security

Cloud Service, Provider, and Platform Security

Identity & Access Management

Vulnerability Management

Security Engineering

Security Architecture

Risk, Compliance, and Security Management

Security Operations and Incident Response

Threat Hunting, Intelligence, and Analytics

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Technology related field

5+ years of experience in information security, especially in a cross functional information security role

2+ years of experience supporting M&A activities in an Information Security Team

Solid business acumen, flexibility, and judgment to evaluate issues/problems of high complexity and make sound decisions.

Experience driving measurable improvement in assessing security posture and recommending solutions to align with security requirements in a scalable and supportive method.

Experience working with SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration solutions, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring (FIM), DLP, and vulnerability scanning, identify and access technologies, and other network and system monitoring tools.

Core Competencies: Good written and verbal communication skills

Excellent understanding of technical security safeguards.

Preferences: Security certifications such as CISSP or relevant
