Requirements:
Position Summary:Preschool Lead Teacher(s) assume primary role in designing and implementing activity plans, record-keeping, care and supervision of children in the classroom, communicating with parents and administrative staff, and delegates appropriate duties and responsibilities to teacher and teacher's assistant.Major Responsibilities:

• Preschool Lead Teacher writes and implements daily/weekly lesson plans for children in classroom that are developmentally appropriate for the children in care.
• Preschool Lead Teacher ensures that children's physical, emotional, and educational needs are met through close visual supervision and observation of group and one-on-one interactions with individual children.
• Preschool Lead Teacher assists the Director in devising service plans for children with special needs.
• Preschool Lead Teacher ensures that necessary classroom records/documents are kept current, organized, and on file.
• Preschool Lead Teacher ensures, through communication with administrative staff, that licensing, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the classroom. Education/Experience: Completion of Early Childhood Credential plus completion of or currently enrolled in 9 additional credit hours in Child Development or related field from a community college or university. At least one year experience working in a preschool classroom at a licensed center. Associate's Degree preferred. Eliada Homes offsets all costs associated with needed childcare credentials!
