Job Description:

Shipping Assistant

Must be able to work 1st shift 6 days a week.

Comprehensive summary of the purpose and nature of the job.
Organizes the finished goods in the warehouses.
Locates and retrieves finished goods from the warehouses.
Stages finished goods to be shipped.
Prepares finished goods for shipment. Includes banding, cutting down, and taping finished goods.
Loads and inspects trucks for shipment without supervision.
Generates the proper paperwork for shipment of finished goods.
Participates in manual physical inventory.
Conducts safety huddles.
Uses switch tractor to move trailers within the property boundaries.
Receives all incoming material. - Includes making proper labels and storing material in proper warehouse.
Receives deliveries of equipment, supplies, etc. .

Essential functions of the fundamental job duties required.
Operates lift truck to move and organize finished goods in the warehouse.
Conducts daily inspection to insure safe lift truck performance.
Operates computer to generate labels, shipping documents, pick lists, etc.
Locates, places and retrieves finished goods in warehouses and maintains organization of finished goods.
Inspects and loads trucks for shipment.
Conducts physical inventory by manually checking off each individual finished item off a detailed inventory list.
Conducts safety huddles.
Unloads incoming items such as raw materials, equipment, supplies, etc.
Operates switch tractor to move trailers for loading and unloading.

Non-essential functions of the job.
Housekeeping duties. -This includes sweeping, removing trash, and organizing finished goods, work in process, and supplies.
