Job Summary

Designs, installs, and implements all layers of network infrastructures to include LAN's, Wireless Access, wire, switches, routers, etc. for network servers and/or telecommunications networks.

Network Systems:

May design configurations for various Network systems and installs hardware. Plans and manages medium to large-scale network projects. Keep Network Services informed on installation progress. Provides documentation of networks installations and changes. Effectively handle day-to-day network issues.

Performance and Monitoring:

Analyzes network efficiency by conducting network tests and running diagnostics. Provides preventative action recommendations and assists in finding solutions to recurring network problems. Serves as a technical resource for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex network and/or infrastructure issues. Work with CCIT staff, computer consultants and vendors to resolve problems quickly and minimize downtime. Also provides on-call support. Creates and maintains proper documentation.

Minimum Education:

A bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Experience: 1 - 3 years
Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License
