ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer, in our Spindale and Charlotte, NC offices. Education/Training for Project Engineer

  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field preferred

  Relevant licenses or certifications preferred
  
  
  Experience/Education for Project Engineer
  These are entry level positions for candidates with a relevant associate's or bachelor's degree (engineering or construction management). Candidates without relevant post-secondary education should have a minimum of two years of professional experience in commercial or industrial construction, project engineering, project management, estimating, or other relevant field. Experience specific to the electrical trade or electrical engineering is, of course, beneficial. Pay will be based upon experience and qualifications.

    Strong computer, data entry, and data analysis skills, including proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Projects and Excel, and/or Bluebeam, or willingness to enroll in classes to gain proficiency

    Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and schematics
    
    
  • 
    Attention to detail, organization, strong mathematical skills, and ability to multi-task
    
    
  • 
    Assist in the development of designs and specifications for components of the electrical scope of work on commercial and industrial construction projects

    Analyze construction drawings to identify opportunities for engineered solutions to installation issues
    
    
  • 
    Provide administrative support to project management teams, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking
